Pam

My name is Pam and I have been a nurse for almost 15 years. The majority of my nursing experience has been focused on public health, and over the years I have worked in a variety of programs – infectious disease, healthy babies, school health etc. I’ve been a manager for the last 4 years, and currently I manage the reproductive and child health program at Niagara Region Pubic Health. I was born and raised in Niagara Region, and my husband and I love living here. We have 3 children ages 6, 8 and 12. Our two boys play travel hockey which takes up a lot of our time! My arena knowledge however is quite substantial! :) Our daughter dances and figure skates. I’m an avid runner, and do my best to get out at least 4 times a week.

Kasia

My name is Kasia and I have been a nurse for over 10 years. I specialize in Emergency, ICU and NICU. For most of my nursing career I have been working with adults. Last year I decided to make a change to babies as that have been my nursing dream from the beginning. I enjoy travelling all over the world. Every year I try to go away somewhere exciting, such as hiking in Belize or backpacking in Columbia. In my spare time I enjoy hiking and snowboarding. My husband and I have two very adorable dogs that enjoy outdoors as much as we do.

Erin

My name is Erin Malkoske. I work as a Patient Safety Officer in the Patient Safety and Quality Department at Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. My background is Nursing in Adult Medicine, Surgery, and Emergency. I have been in my current role for the last 5 years and have gained a fairly good understanding of human and system factors in healthcare and how this affects quality of care. I'm an avid "outdoorsy" kind of person and love to go hiking, canoeing, cross-country skiing, back-country camping, and most recently spend time at our new cabin. I'm also a Winnipeg Jets fan (TRUE NORTH) and enjoy season tickets, and Blue Bomber's fan (even though they are terrible). My husband and I are also excited for a new baby on the way, with expected arrival in June 2019. I hope you enjoy our blog and find it relevant as all of us in this course are leaders and participants in organizational change.

Jacqueline

My name is Jacqueline Senych, I am the Ethics Research Manager for Human drug, device and biological studies in Alberta with the Health Research Ethics Board of Alberta. I have a background as a Research Nurse working in in chronic disease management, cardiology and emergency medicine. Born and raised in northern Alberta I cheer for the Oilers and Eskimo's faithfully and love all four seasons, or at least the 10 months of winter and two months which include spring, summer and fall :) ;) I have been a participant in organizational change so I find this blog especially interesting and hopefully you will find it enlightening.
